Ofsted state that the KS3 Computing Curriculum should be broad and balanced and cover the three areas of Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy.

Building on the primary curriculum eLIM believe that the heart of a computer curriculum should be on creating Computational Thinkers.  Computing provides the opportunities to allow learners to think and be creative.

In creating a curriculum for Key Stage 3 teachers should be aware of the skills, knowledge and learning that the students bring with them and complete a baseline assessment as well as having an assessment method to track how they progress.
