The Somerset Educational Technology team collaborates with schools to provide high-quality professional development programmes, supporting teachers to improve, and continually evaluate, pupil outcomes. Our experience and expertise is supported by robust evidence and includes appropriate levels of challenge, to help you provide excellent educational opportunities.

​eLIM provide both in-school support and central training opportunities.   

Subscribing schools


Schools subscribing to eLIM's SSTEP package are entitled to a day visit which can be used for strategic development or self review or for training to meet the needs of the teaching staff.  Schools can request additional support at the current consultancy rate. 


In addition the Computing / ICT leader can attend, without charge, two Education Technology update meetings (Spring and Autumn term) and, at reduced cost, the autumn Education Technology Conference.  The 2016 conference took place on Tuesday 15th November at Dillington House near Ilminister.


Non-subscribing schools


Non-subscribing schools can pay to attend update meetings and the autumn conference at the full price.  Consultancy charges apply at a higher rate and are only available for a minimum half day.

Courses are charged at an additional 30% cost.


Additional charge

Add 5% indemnity charge to Education Technology courses costs if you are an Academy school.

Add 30% to Education Technology course costs if you are a non-subscribing school. 

Free courses are charged at £60 for non-subscribers unless stated otherwise.

SSE Online Safety and Safeguarding Conference (£50 subscriber)
A day conference aimed at informing establishments of the latest online safety and safeguarding information.

Scratch Maths Workshop Day (£140 subscriber, £155.55 non-subscribers)
A hands on opportunity to get to know the new Institute of Education Scratch Maths materials and to plan for their implementation as part of mathematical learning for KS2 children.

Technology in the Foundation Stage (Subscriber only - no charge)
An opportunity for reception teachers to be part of updating the 2013 Wessex Planning for Foundation Stage.  We will consider a continuous provision model for appropriate technology experiences.  The afternoon will provide CPD as well as allowing you to be part of adding Foundation Stage to the New Wessex Planning.

Multimedia for your YouTube channel (£140 subscriber, £155.55 non-subscribers)
Create your own YouTube channel and build your confidence to create and upload a variety video types to reflect the creativity and types of learning that are taking place in your school.
